My husband, a pastor, is at a conference in Anaheim for the week. I don’t envy him the time away though. The conference allows for very little down time, certainly not enough to go to Disneyland or even so much as hop the monorail. The agenda for his Saturday 8:45 am is titled “How Pastors and Lay Leaders Can Tangibilify Their Support for [a ministry program that Must Not Be Named due to the horrific nature of its abuse to the English language].”
Last evening it appears he slipped away for a bit. To go drinking? No, *sigh* he upped and went to church. An Episcopal church in Santa Ana to celebrate the ruling against California’s Proposition 8. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/prop-339190-court-decision.html?pic=2. (see photo #6 in the gallery, redhead holding rainbow flag–that’s hubby, apparently pleased but not exactly having a blast.) Maybe there was drinking after.
My kids have been processing the whole “Daddy’s in a meeting for en entire week” reality and are dealing rather well. Robin announced that he wants to go hiking with Daddy. Camilla has been drawing.
Or you might say she is tangibilifying her feelings and understanding about her dad being gone.
So, in honor of PowerPointers boring conferees everywhere (and, oh yeah, the title of this blog), I present to you this slide show of Camilla’s art.
