Just got the bill for my first physical therapy session to rehab my running injury.
Fleet Feet, Total Body Fitness, and some other groups offer professional training for runners like me. I’ve shied away from the coached group training courses because of cost. But even taking one evening per week babysitting into consideration, an 8- or even 12- week course would have cost less than this one PT session (plus I need to schedule more than one, for any therapy to take place). Either the professional coaching or the peer pressure to follow good old common sense would likely have helped prevent my stupid injuries.
Needless to say, I’m pretty dang irritated with myself.
So I’m following doctor’s orders to stay off the foot and do other kinds of exercise.
Lately it’s been about 45 degrees outside and 78 in the pool. It’s heavenly.
My elbows get cold, though.
